Race Rules & Regulations

Rules and Regulations (Alpine)

There are two sets of rules governing ‘recognised’ Alpine ski races. The first, the British Competition Rules (“BCR”) apply to snow competitions. The second, the British Artificial Competition Rules (“BACR”) apply to races on artificial slopes (dry slopes and indoor snow). In both cases, the base rulebook is the International Competition Rules (“ICR”) published by the International Ski Federation (FIS).

The latest set of all Alpine rules and regulations are available for download from the GBski web site.

We understand what a minefield trying to understand the rules can be, as we’ve all been there, so please feel free to ask any and all questions about the rules, which our Head Coach or Racing Convenor should be able to answer.
